Jay-Z got permission to use 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' lyric for new album

Courtney Love told the Huffington Post in an interview this week that Hov is licensing the use lyrics from Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Love, Kurt Cobain's widow, owns the rights to Nirvana's back catalog.
"I'm letting Jay-Z use lyrics - Francis [their daughter] would freak [if she knew this.] Jay-Z's huge and we're friends. I mean we're not besties or anything," she started, but, "They [used it] without asking, which is kind of nervy but the business side has been taken care of so it's fine."
