Vincent D'Onofrio done with 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent'
"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" is cleaning house for its upcoming ninth season.
According The Hollywood Reporter, Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian will all be phased out during the next run of episodes, slated to premiere in the late spring of 2010. Those three join Julianne Nicholson, whose departure from the show was previously announced.
The gig as top man on the major case squad will be passed along to Jeff Goldblum, who spend his first season on "Criminal Intent" this year. Replacing Nicholson as Goldblum's partner is Saffron Burrows.
D'Onofrio and Erbe were both original castmembers on 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and it's unclear how their departures will be handled. It's expected that both of their characters will be kept around for potential future circulation.
