NBC gets back into the J.J. Abrams business
Sure, "Undercovers" was a swift and utter failure, but that doesn't mean NBC is hesitant to get back into the J.J. Abrams business.
Per EW.com, NBC has picked up a drama pilot called "Revolution" from Abrams, Bryan Burk and Eric Kripke.
Kripke, a "Supernatural" veteran, is actually the one writing the script, which seems to be a post-apocalyptic family drama set in a world in which all of our technology has been blacked out forever."
Abrams, who has "Shelter" in development at The CW, is basking in the glow of the success of CBS' "Person of Interest," his first unqualified TV success in several years. He's also directing "Star Trek 2," which will probably do OK for him.
