Hear a snippet of Kendrick Lamar's latest song with Dr. Dre
The kings of Compton -- Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre -- are back in the studio and you can hear what they've been working on courtesy of a new ad for Dre's Beats Pill speakers. Watch the ad here.
The two previously teamed up for the track "Compton" on Lamar's "good kid, m.a.a.d. city," and this work-in-progress song sounds like it'll be just as good. The ad captures Lamar delivering a spit-fire, Eminem-like verse and Dre behind the boards fine-tuning the beat. Lamar isn't quite feeling it though and they take a break so he can casually drop in a product placement for the speakers. The two reconvene after Dre calls him to say "I figured it out." The answer? "Drums," of course.
