NBC has given a put pilot commitment to a drama about the world of professional wrestling in the 1980s, a drama produced by the unlikely super-team of Dwayne "Formerly The Rock" Johnson and Jerry "Producer of 'The Rock'" Bruckheimer.
According to Deadline.com
, the fictional drama will be written by "Spartacus" veterans Brent Fletcher and Seamus Kevin Fahey. It's unclear how many actual figures from the '80s Golden Age of the WCW and WWF will be integrated into the script.
Bruckheimer has already secured put pilot commitments this summer at ABC and CBS.
Johnson is currently shooting the sequel to "G.I. Joe" and tweeting about it.
