Julia Roberts and Ryan Reynolds' drama 'Fireflies in the Garden' finally hitting U.S. shores
Over three years after its premiere at the 2008 Berlin Film Festival, the Julia Roberts and Ryan Reynolds' indie drama "Fireflies in the Garden" is finally on its way to U.S. theaters.
The film has already been seen in most of the world, but the financial and legal problems that plagued former distributor Senator Entertainment prevented a domestic release. Now, the film's original producers have regained ther rights to the flick and plan an Oct. 14 release in L.A., New York, Chicago and San Francisco.
The directorial debut of Dennis Lee, the picture focuses on a Midwestern family trying to recover from a tragic accident. It also features Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Ioan Gruffud and a rare dramatic turn by Hayden Panettiere.
