Miley Cyrus waves goodbye to imaginary alter-ego
Comb that wig one more time, prepare for the end times on "Hannah Montana." The fourth season is about to wrap, and it will bring the close of a reigning era: Miley Cyrus will part with alter-ego on the Disney Channel. No telling if Cyrus will return to the network in some other incarnation -- as it was the network that kickstarted her world domination, Hannah or not -- but she's obviously off to bigger movie projects and mainstream pop music success.
"The episodes will continue to roll out at least over a full year," Disney Channel exec Adam Bonnett said of the season, which starts lensing this month and will continue through summer.
Considering Hollywood Records still owns her soul and "The Last Song" is set for April 2, we have not heard or seen the last of Miley, even though she's outgrown her Montana.
