Dakota Fanning may segue from 'Breaking Dawn' to 'If I Stay'
Summit Entertainment is a fan of Dakota Fanning. The 17-year-old actress has already starred in the studio's thriller "Push" and both the "New Moon" and "Eclipse" installments of "The Twilight Saga." Fanning is currently prepping to reprise her role as Jane in "Breaking Dawn," but may segue to Summit's adaptation of the young adult novel "If I Stay." According to Variety, "Twilight" helmer Catherine Hardwicke has left the project to direct "Red Riding Hood" and Brazilian filmmaker Heltor Dhalia has jumped on board. No word on when the drama would begin shooting, but it could be a franchise. Author Gayle Forman has another book, "Where She Went," hitting bookstores, iPads and Kindles this April.
