Is Colin Farrell the new star of 'Total Recal'?
A new "Total Recall" is on the way and director Len Weisman's wishlist to stand in for Arnold Schwarzennegar's character has come to light. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Colin Farrell is Weisman's first choice, but Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender are up for consideration. The picture is looking at a late March start which complicates the availability of some of those names. Farrell should be free, Hardy, on the other hand, will most likely be busy with his role in the Nolan's new "Batman." Fassbender "could" be available, but if he ends up, as rumored, in Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit," it could be back to the drawing board for Weisman. Original Film is producing what Weisman says will be a more "contemporary" version of the Philip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale." Even if that's the case, we're still hoping for a cameo from the soon to be ex-Governator.
