Is Charlize Theron the new 'Mad Max'?
Mel Gibson has publicly stated he's "too old" to return as the title character in "Mad Max 4" and, according to E!Online, director George Miller knows who he wants to replace him: none other than Oscar-winning Charlize "Aeon Flux" Theron.
Who would play "Max"? Would there even be a "Max"? Miller is keeping much about the long awaited sequel secret, but he is looking at "Star Trek Nemesis" and "Bronson" star Tom Hardy to play the male lead opposite Theron. Both would appear to be playing kick-ass anti-heroes in the franchise's post-apocalyptic world. However, there's no word on if Theron is even interested in the part.
Would you be up for Theron going beyond Thunderdome? Or should the series just rest in peace? Share your thoughts below.
