Drake overtakes Jay-Z No. 1s record on R&B/Hip-Hop chart
Look out Hov. The singing and rapping Canadian is putting you in his shadow.
This week Drake eclipsed Jay-Z's record on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for a record number of No. 1s. Drake's featured spot on 2 Chainz' "No Lie" puts his sum up to 10 times at No. 1. Seven of Drake's 10 No. 1s have been guest features.
Jay-Z, on the other hand, has earned nine No. 1s on that tally, but four of those as lead and two as co-leads ("N*ggas in Paris" with Kanye West and "Empire State of Mind" with Alicia Keys). He earned his first in 1999 on Mariah Carey's "Heartbreaker."
Drake earned his double-digits in three years, one month and three weeks. Your turn, Jay.
