A&E has 'Flipped' for 'Survivor' villain Russell Hantz

Just one week after History Channel announced "Around the World in 80 Ways," built around Rob Mariano, A&E greenlit a a new series built around Boston Rob's "Survivor" rival Russell Hantz.

 
The seven-episode unscripted drama "Flipped" fill focus on Hantz as he and his family buy houses, renovate them on the cheap and attempt to sell them at profit. 
 
"There are tons of reality TV stars sitting on their couches and twiddling their thumbs because they haven’t created anything else," stated Hantz. "I expect to be one of the biggest house flippers in Houston and I am here to bring Houston's economy back on its feet."
 
Hantz has appeared on three seasons of "Survivor," getting routed in two Jury votes and going home early in the recently completed "Survivor: Redemption Island."
 
A&E hopes to air "Flipped" in late 2011.
