Woody Allen's replacement for Nicole Kidman is...?
Nicole Kidman wanted to star in Woody Allen's new untitled London-set movie, but her commitment to the drama "Rabbit Hole" got in the way. Now, Allen has replaced Kidman and he's gone for acting skill over starpower by picking British actress Lucy Punch according to Variety.
Best known for her work on the CBS sitcom "The Class," Punch has also appeared in "Hot Fuzz" and recently completed the Anna Faris-Topher Grace comedy "Young Americans."
Punch will play a high priced hooker in a nod to Ashley Dupre, the call girl who helped ruin New York Governor Eliot Spitzer's political career.
The new Allen film also features Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas, Naomi Watts and Freida Pinto. Allen's next flick, "Whatever Works," arrives in theaters June 19.
