Guillermo De Toro, 'Battlestar Galactica' producer rebooting ABC's 'Hulk'

ABC has assembled an unexpected super-teamto attempt to bring the Incredible Hulk back to the small screen.

"Pan's Labyrinth" director Guillermo Del Toro and "Battlestar Galactica" executive producer David Eick will craft the "Hulk" pilot script together, with Eick writing the pilot. Depending on Del Toro's busy schedule, he may direct the pilot.

Based on his work rebooting "Battlestar" for Sci Fi, Eick seems like a perfect choice to revamp a vintage '70s TV property. Based on his work on NBC's "Bionic Woman," Eick maybe doesn't seem like such a perfect choice to revamp a vintage '70s TV property.

The ABC and Marvel TV production isn't expected to be ready for this spring's development season. Del Toro and Eick are both busy people. A fall 2012 launch seems more plausible, hypothetically.
