Has 'The Dark Knight Rises' villain been revealed?

Any "Dark Knight" fan knows that "Inception's" Tom Hardy has already been announced as the villain in Christopher Nolan's third "Batman" film, but the filmmakers have been very quiet about what character he's actually playing.  Now, Total Film and Batman News have revealed that it's most likely insane psychiatrist Dr. Hugo Strange.

The little known rogue Strange made his biggest impact in a graphic novel titled "Prey" where he became the head of a Gotham police unit charged with capturing Batman.  In the novel, Strange hypnotizes an officer (Sgt. Max Cort) into becoming a masked vigilante and kidnapping the mayor's daughter.  In theory, that could mean "Lost's" Nestor Carbonell, who played the mayor in "The Dark Knight," is in for a return engagement?  We'll find out soon.  According to the always loose lipped Michael Caine, the cast will get a script in January, begin shooting in May and end in November.

Stay tuned Bat fans.  More coming…

paranormal activity is a disgrace to the film industry. they should just quite while they're "ahead." the idea is dead and the entire concept to begin w in the first place is so ridiculous. i wouldnt give it so much negative if they wouldnt have tried to play it off like a real story and true events from the begining. if that were the case, they'ed be good scary movies. thats the downfall. they suck because they're low budget junk, and are completely false. learn to pick your battles, because you lost this one to your own idea.
