'Guardians of the Galaxy's' Drax will likely have key role in 'Avengers 3'
Marvel fans certainly haven't seen the last of the "Guardians of the Galaxy." The team members are slated to return for a sequel and it's been rumored that they'll be teaming with Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Cap and the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to face Thanos in "Avengers 3." But it appears that one of the Guardians may play a bigger role than his teammates.
Dave Bautista's hulking literalist Drax the Destroyer is rumored to be playing a key role in the Marvel threequel, which would reflect the alleged restructuring of his contract with the studio, according to a report on pro wrestling site PWMania,
"Regarding Bautista’s status, Marvel Studios are currently restructuring his contract that will likely see him get more money due to the success of 'Guardians of the Galaxy,'" the site says. "This will also lock Batista in for a number of other Marvel movies. Bautista is slated for 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' as well as the 3rd 'Avengers' movie, where he will have a significant role."
Meanwhile, "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" opens May 1, 2015.
