Snoop Dogg develops a new HBO drama series
In an announcement that, amusingly, came courtesy of the rapper and not the network, Snoop Dogg revealed this week that he's developing a new HBO drama series.
Set in the early '80s in Los Angeles, the pilot will focus on "a family whose seemingly idyllic life is turned upside down by the collision of their community and American politics.?"
Rodney Barnes ("Everybody Hates Chris") will write and will executive produce along with Snoop and manager Ted Chung.
Allen Hughes ("Menace II Society") is set to direct the pilot and also executive produce. — Daniel Fienberg
