NBC-Universal adopts Bon Jovi
NBC-Universal has made Bon Jovi its first-ever Artist in Residence.
What the heck does that mean? Glad you asked! It turns out that Bon Jovi has a new album, "The Circle," dropping on Nov. 10. In the time leading up to that release date, NBC-Uni is determined to do everything possible to inform you about "The Circle" and to make you sick of Bon Jovi.
It will be Bon Jovi Month on "Today," with the band appearing on the program on four consecutive Wednesdays. Bon Jovi will be a featured guest on Bravo's "Inside the Actors' Studio" and Jon Bon Jovi will be the focus of a "USA Character Showcase." Jon will appear on NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams and the band will be featured in a "The More You Know" public service campaign. And if that's not enough, the music of Bon Jovi will be "heavily integrated" into NBC's network and cable programming.
"By assembling a unique mix of personal appearances on a variety of its brands, NBC Universal has the ability to offer Bon Jovi the opportunity to reach a wide audience in a variety of compelling ways, while at the same time making interesting, exclusive content available to the properties of NBCU," states NBC-Uni Television Chairman Jeff Gaspin.
