Jon Favreau will direct J.J. Abrams' 'Revolution'
Creating a glorious union of the minds for fanboys, "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau has signed on to direct a new NBC pilot produced by J.J. Abrams and written by "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke.
As noted by Deadline.com, Favreau has directed comedy pilots in the past, but "Revolution" will be his first drama pilot.
"Revolution" is set against a post-apocalyptic landscape in which all forms of energy -- minute potential and kinetic, we assume -- have ceased to exist.
Favreau, who last directed "Cowboys & Aliens," also co-wrote a CBS comedy pilot which may or may not shoot as part of this development season.
