Honest Abe wields an axe in first look at 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'
Looks like Oscar winner Steven Spielberg, who's currently directing Daniel Day-Lewis in the upcoming biopic "Lincoln," got it all wrong.
According to the first photo from the genre-bending "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," the 16th president gave his last full measure of devotion to vampire-killing. Actor Benjamin Walker plays Honest Abe, who spend his nights stalking Nosferatus and sending them back to Hell. Sometimes carefully chosen words and passionate political rhetoric just ain't enough.
It's probably safe to say that the prez won't be facing sparkly, "Twilight"-style vamps, but the sort of bloodthirsty undead that horror fans want to see on the screen again.
"It’s told through the structure of Lincoln’s actual life," Walker explained to EW.com. "You not only see these huge fight scenes and great moments of drama, but you get sort of the greatest hits of Lincoln’s life, from the mysterious death of his mother through the Gettysburg address, says Walker. “You get a portrait of this man, as well as a thriller."
The film also stars Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell and, as Mary Todd Lincoln, Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Tim Burton is producing, with Timur Bekmambetov ("Wanted") directing.
"Abraham" is based on the historical/horror mash-up by author Seth Grahame-Smith ("Pride and Prejudice and Zombies"), who also wrote the screenplay for Burton's upcoming big screen take on the classic TV show "Dark Shadows," starring Burton's BFF Johnny Depp.
"Abraham Lincoln: Vampie Hunter" opens in 3D nationwide June 22.
What do you think of the photo? Are you excited for the film?

Also amazing how these mental midgets conveniently forget that Israel has been under constant attack since its inception.
And much like Dear Leader's ignorant attitude towards Israel, these fools want to dictate to Israel how they should deal with murderous terrorists on their own soil.
