'Fifty Shade of Grey' producers have 'no idea' about the sequel
"Fifty Shade of Grey" won't be in theaters for nearly a year, but it's never too early to start thinking about a sequel...unless you're one of the film's producers.
"I have no idea yet," producer Dana Brunetti told MTV when asked about a follow-up. "We haven't even started discussing that yet. We just want to get this one wrapped and get it cut. We'll see the cut, see how it goes, and once it's released, we'll start discussing what happens next."
A sequel is very likely to happen however, seeing as "Fifty" is based on the first book in the runaway bestseller trilogy by E.L. James, and originally inspired by the "Twilight Saga."
Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, "Fifty" stars Dakota Johnson as a college student named Anastasia Steele who engages in a BDSM relationship with eccentric young millionaire Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan). Eloise Mumford, Luke Grimes and Marcia Gay Harden also star. The film recently wrapped photography.
"Fifty Shade of Grey" opens February 13, 2015.
