Jennifer Lawrence denies feud with 'Joy' director David O. Russell
Everybody calm down: Jennifer Lawrence and David O. Russell are just fine
After TMZ reported that the actress and director had gotten into a screaming match on the set of their latest film "Joy," Lawrence took to her official Facebook page to address the issue.
"There’s been a terrible rumor going around the last 24 hours so I wanted to clear it up," wrote Lawrence. "David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship. I adore this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I’m having a blast making it!"
Russell has a history of sparring with his actors; famous examples include George Clooney on the set of "Three Kings" and Lily Tomlin on the set of "I Heart Huckabees."
