Joel Kinnaman set to replace Tom Hardy in 'Suicide Squad'
Goodbye, Tom Hardy. Hello, Joel Kinnaman.
The "Killing" star is reportedly set to replace the "Dark Knight Rises" actor in "Suicide Squad," Warner Bros.' forthcoming comic book adaptation directed by David Ayer ("End of Watch") and co-starring Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevigne (Enchantress), Jared Leto (The Joker), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) and Jesse Eisenberg (expected to reprise his "Batman v Superman" character Lex Luthor).
If confirmed, Kinnaman will play Rick Flagg, the leader of the eponymous group of supervillains.
"Suicide Squad" is expected to begin production in April. The film hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
