Leonardo DiCaprio won't be playing Steve Jobs for Danny Boyle
Leonardo DiCaprio's next acting job won't be playing Steve Jobs after all.
The "Wolf of Wall Street" actor was in talks to play the Apple legend for Sony and director Danny Boyle ("Slumdog Millionaire"), but has exited the project in order to focus on Alejandro González Iñárritu's western thriller "The Revenant," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
With DiCaprio out, Sony's wish list reportedly includes Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Bradley Cooper.
Based on Walter Isaacson's bestselling Jobs biography, Aaron Sorkin ("The Social Network") is writing the screenplay. David Fincher was in talks to direct at one point, but moved on, with Oscar winner Boyle replacing him.
DiCaprio is starting production on "The Revenant" this week, after which he will reportedly take a temporary break from acting.
