Disney promises 'at least' three 'Star Wars' spin-offs
The "Star Wars" galaxy is getting even bigger.
While on a quarterly phone call with investors, Disney CEO Bob Iger reportedly re-affirmed the studio's commitment to theatrical domination over the next decade, saying that they plan on making "at least" three spin-off films, as reported by a tweet from Variety's Marc Graser.
As previously revealed, the spin-off films will be in addition to the J.J. Abrams-directed "Episode VII" and its two sequels.
Previously, Iger implied that Disney was currently only eyeing two spin-offs, but this announcement ensures that new "Star Wars" adventures will be in theaters every year for the foreseeable future, starting with 2015's "Episode VII."
Two of the spin-offs will reportedly be centered on bounty hunter Boba Fett and the early days of Harrison Ford's Han Solo character, while the potential third entry remains a mystery.
