Director Sam Mendes still won't confirm 'Bond 24'
"Skyfall" director Sam Mendes helped steer the James Bond franchise to an all-time high at the box office, and the series' producers have made it clear they want him to call the shots on the planned Bond 24.
At the West End premiere of his new musical "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," Mendes spoke to Hey U Guys, but seemed reluctant to discuss Bond 24. "In answer to the question you’re going to ask I don’t know yet," he said. "I’m in discussion over the ‘B’ word and I won’t make any decision until this ["Charlie"] is open. It’s taken a long time to get this open and this has been my focus."
2012's "Skyfall," which starred Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem and Judi Dench, scored more than $1.1 billion worldwide.
