Weezer weighing 'Pinkerton,' 'Blue Album' tour
Weezer's newest song -- from forthcoming Epitaph album "Hurley" -- is dubbed "Memories," but the nostalgia apparently doesn't stop there.
The band is considering touring around their 1994 self-titled debut (commonly referred to as the "Blue Album") and to 1996's "Pinkerton," with a night devoted to each album played in its entirety per city.
"We're just running it by promoters right now to see if there's sufficient interest in the markets to do something like that, and if they're on board, it's gonna happen," frontman Rivers Cuomo told MTV. "The fan response has been incredible so far for the idea... And, if they want to, they can contact their local promoter and tell them to make it happen."
A spokesperson said there's no proposed span of dates yet for said tour.
As previously reported, "Hurley" is out on Sept. 14, and the cover features a giant photo of "Lost's" Jorge Garcia's face.
