Rene Zellweger's "Case 39" is finally getting a release
The long mystery of "Case 39's" fate is finally coming to an end. The Rene Zellweger and Bradley Cooper thriller was shot years ago, when the former was still a star and the latter was best known for his TV work on "Jack and Bobby." After sitting on the shelf forever while Paramount execs decided what to do with it, "39" started rolling out overseas a year ago in New Zealand and by now has hit moviegoers in Mexico, Russia, the UK, Spain and many more countries (although France was sparred it appears). Now, the thriller is getting a dump release on Oct. 1 under the Paramount Vantage (or should that be "Vintage") banner. Be afraid, be very afraid, but for all the wrong reasons. Check out the trailer here.
