Guillermo del Toro doesn't think 'Hellboy 3' will happen
There may be no filmmaker in Hollywood who attaches himself to more projects than Guillermo Del Toro. However, when the "Pan's Labyrinth" filmmaker decided to jettison "The Hobbit," many movie fans hoped the hole in his schedule could be filled with the third and final installment of the "Hellboy" franchise. Del Toro joked to MTV "he'd love to do it," but Hellboy himself -- cranky, old Ron Perlman is enjoying not having to sit in a chair for six hours of makeup while on his hit TV series "Sons of Anarchy."
The other problem, it seems, is that he knows how creator Mike Mignola wants to end the franchise and isn't sure he wants to share that on the big screen.
"The heartbreak for me is that I know how it ends and I don't know if I want to see that ending," Del Toro admits.
In other words, this is one franchise that will close after just two chapters. Until the inevitable reboot of course.
