'Hangover' and 'Daily Show' vet gets his own CBS pilot
CBS has ordered a pilot starring "The Daily Show" correspondent Rob Riggle.
Titled "Team Spitz," the ensemble comedy features Riggle as a bombastic high school football coach and was written by Bill Martin and Mike Schiff.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tantamount's Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Mitch Hurwitz will executive produce along with Peter Principato and Paul Young.
The "Daily Show" and "Gary Unmarried" veteran stole scenes this summer in the Golden Globe-winning blockbuster "The Hangover," playing the cop who introduces the guys to the pleasures of being tasered.
