FX's 'Saint George' may not continue beyond 10 episodes
Already saddled with 100 episodes of the low-rated "Anger Management," FX may dodge a bullet on "Saint George."
Per Deadline.com, ratings through the first four episodes of "Saint George" have been low enough that the first 10 episodes probably won't hit the threshold necessary to trigger the back-90 order that's part of Debmar-Mercury deals.
In its most recent airing, "Saint George" drew only 721,000 viewers, down by 40 percent from the already-disappointing premiere. "Saint George" was also down to 401,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo.
FX still has 10-90 Debmar-Mercury deals with Kelsey Grammar and Martin Lawrence and, at least in the early stages, Kevin James. To date, 55 episodes of "Anger Management" have aired, leaving FX 45 episodes from freedom there.
