Iggy Azalea cancels fall arena tour
Iggy Azalea fans got a bummer of an email this week, that the Aussie rapper was canceling her Great Escape tour for this fall. Refunds are being issued.
"The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been canceled, and refunds are available at point of purchase," the email said. "There will be a new tour planned around Iggy's new record to be released in 2016, and we apologize for any inconvenience."
The move comes after months of speculation that there has been tension between Azalea and her management; after moving sales from Spring to Fall 2015, ticket sales had certainly suffered.
"To accommodate for creative team availability and tour production plans, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this Spring," Def Jam said at the time, in a statement from March. "It is extremely important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans, and that requires more time in development." — Katie Hasty
