Focusing on two volunteer nurses on opposite sides of the Civil War, "Mercy Street" will feature Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Hannah James in the two leads, playing a New England abolitionist and a Confederate supporter, respectively.
Josh Radnor will play a surgeon working with Winstead's character, while Gary Cole will play the father to James' nurse. Other stars will include Donna Murphy, AnnaSophia Robb, Peter Gerety, Norbert Leo Butz, Jack Falahee and more.
Premiering in Winter 2016, "Mercy Street" will be directed by Roxann Dawson and Jeremy Webb among others. — Daniel Fienberg
