Hollywood to butcher yet another foreign film by remaking it
It took long enough. After becoming last summer's word of mouth hit on the art house circuit, French thriller "Tell No One" is going to be remade for English-speaking audiences. Miramax and Focus Features are teaming up to develop a new version of the drama that finds a doctor grieving over the loss of his wife, but soon discovers she might really be alive. The twist and turns onscreen were actually inspired by the novel by American author Harlan Coben.
Variety reports no director or screenwriter have been announced, but the two indie powerhouses hope to begin production in spring of 2010.
