'Superman vs. Batman's' Lex Luthor rumors include Bryan Cranston and Mark Strong
Batman won't be the only new character that Superman has to deal with in the recently announced "Man of Steel" follow-up. The DC hero's greatest villain -- Lex Luthor -- will also be rearing his shiny bald head, but who will be playing him?
With "Superman vs. Batman" still in the early stages of development, it's too soon to know anything for sure, but this week a pair of names were linked to Luthor.
Latino Review chimed in first with a handful of tweets not-so-subtly suggesting that "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston was being eyed for the role.
Meanwhile, Digital Spy reported that "Low Winter Son" star Mark Strong was being considered for the part.
Strong is no stranger to DC Comics -- he played Sinestro in 2011's "Green Lantern." Likewise, Cranston provided the voice for Commmisioner Gordon in 2011's animated "Batman: Year One."
While "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill will return as Supes, the casting rumors for an "older" Batman seemed to have placed Josh Brolin as the frontrunner, although nothing is even close to being official.
