'Zombieland' pilot won't go to series for Amazon
"Zombieland," the highest profile of Amazon's new viewers-choice pilots, won't be going to series for the online network.
Several of the other Amazon pilots, including "Browsers," also won't be moving forward, but their creators didn't go online with the level of bitterness showcased by "Zombieland" writer-producer Rhett Reese.
Reese, who also wrote the more successful "Zombieland" feature, let fans know, "Our Zombieland series will not be moving forward on Amazon. Sad for everyone involved" on Twitter.
He continued, "I'll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans. You guys successfully hated it out of existence."
The pilot starred Kirk Ward, Maiara Walsh, Tyler Ross and Izabela Vidovic.
