Kevin James likes the movies that go 'Boom'
Sony Pictures is really a big fan of Kevin James. They already produced the surprise hit "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" and this summer's "Grown Ups" which feature the former "King of Queens" star. Earlier this week, MGM gave domestic distribution rights to Sony (both studios financed the film) for James' comedy "The Zookeeper" which will now be released in the summer of 2011. Now, keeping him in house, the studio is looking to recruit James for the new comedy "Here Comes The Boom."
According to Variety, details on "Boom" are being kept under wraps, but word is Salma Hayek may star as the movie's female lead. While no director is attached, the picture could still shoot in January 2012.
