Will Ben Affleck's Batman get his own stand-alone film in 2019?
Ben Affleck will play the Caped Crusader in Zack Snyder's 2016 "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and its 2017 follow-up "Justice League," but will he also suit up for a standalone film?
When rumors surfaced last week that Warner Bros. and DC were planning a slew of superhero titles over the next few years 00 also including "Wonder Woman," "Shazam!" and a Green Lantern-Flash team-up -- there was no sign of a Batman solo film, despite the fact that Affleck's Batman contract spans multiple movies.
However, a solo film with the working title "The Batman" could be arriving in 2019, according to Latino Review. Nothing is confirmed, of course, but there's a chance that Affleck could direct the film as well.
The hypothetical release date would give Affleck plenty of time to write, direct and star in his planned gangster film "Live By Night," in addition to completing "Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League."
Meanwhile, Affleck will next be seen in David Fincher's "Gone Girl" this fall.
