Renewals for 'Bloodline' and 'House of Lies,' plus a 'Mortal Instruments' resurrection make the cut
'The Big Bang Theory' actor Johnny Galecki signs on to 'The Ring' threequel
Leonard Hofstadter would probably admire his real-life counterpart for going after some big-screen genre flick roles. Johnny Galecki tried his hand at sci-fi with 2011’s “In Time” and now he’s lined up a horror movie, the third installment in the American adaptation of “The Ring.”
Deadline, which broke the casting news, describes Galecki’s character, Gabriel, as “a handsome, pleasure-seeking professor who mentors and helps boyfriend and girlfriend duo.”
Filming has already begun for “Rings,” which will hit theaters on Friday, Nov. 13 this year.
