Is TV's longest-running sitting broadcast entertainment president about to step down?
That's what Deadline.com
thinks, reporting that Dawn Ostroff may leave her post as CW Entertainment President following the end of her contract in June 2011. The website reports, albeit without confirmation or named sources, that Ostroff would relocate with her family to New York.
Ostroff was named UPN entertainment president back in 2002 and transitioned into a similar role at The CW after UPN and The CW merged. Prior to that gig, Ostroff had been SVP and EVP of Lifetime.
The CW is having a solid year under Ostroff's watch, rising 7 percent in viewers thanks to the relative successes of "Hellcats" and "Nikita." The netlet's only midseason offering is the reality series "Shedding for the Wedding."
