Perish the thought that a week would pass without Deadline.com
reporting a cancelled show was "in preliminary negotiations" to move to another network.
This week's hot report? Apparently Sony Pictures TV and CBS TV Studios have had "preliminary conversations" with both TNT and Lifetime about picking up "Unforgettable," which averaged 12 million viewers in its lone season on CBS before a semi-surprising cancellation last week.
One would never argue that "Unforgettable" wouldn't be a reasonable fit on TNT or Lifetime and Deadline was right about the recent "Cougar Town" shift to TBS. [Deadline was less right about "Locke & Key" to MTV and either "The River" or "Terra Nova" going to Netflix, at least thus far.]
