The National to curate U.K.;s All Tomorrow's Parties fest
England's famed All Tomorrow's Parties music fest has revealed the latest band to curate the ongoing event. Brooklyn's brooding indie rock combo The National will select some of their favorite groups to play the December weekend.
So far, the fest is The National's only U.K. show scheduled for 2012. The initial bill also includes Sharon Van Etten, My Brightest Diamond, The Antlers, Owen Pallett, Boris, Tim Hecker, Wye Oak, Lower Dens, Megafaun, Suuns, Kronos Quartet, Dark Dark Dark, Buke and Gase, and others. All told, over 40 live acts will perform for upwards of 50,000 attendees on the fest's three stages.
According to Consequence of Sound, The National will also be curating a book club, for those who find live music boring.
All Tomorrow's Parties will take place December 7 - 9 at the Bultins Holiday Centre in Minehead, U.K.
