Jennifer Garner embraces 'Geeks' for ABC Studios
Jennifer Garner is eying a behind-the-scenes return to the small screen.
According to Variety, the "Alias" star is also looking to return to ABC, on the studio side at least, with a half-hour comedy based on Alexandra Robbins' "The Geeks Shall Inherit the Earth."
The trade says that the book focuses on several students with "distinct quirks" and shows how those quirks, presumably treated as less-than-ideal in childhood, will actually become important in adulthood.
The "Geeks" pilot script will be written by Bert Royal and produced through Garner's Vandalia Films shingle. Donna Roth and Susan Arnold will produce.
Garner, who you may or may not have last seen on the big screen in "Arthur," is enjoying a wave of positive buzz stemming from the comedy "Butter," which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and will continue the fest circuit in Toronto.
