CBS summer includes 'Flashpoint,' 'The Bridge,' 'Big Brother'
CBS has lined up many components of hits summer schedule, including the return of the Canadian police drama "Flashpoint," the return of the perennial favorite "Big Brother" and the premiere of a different Canadian police drama, "The Bridge."
As CBS previously announced, "Flashpoint" will kick off its third season on Friday, June 4 in its familiar 9 p.m. time slot.
As was previously announced in on-air promos, but not to the press, "Big Brother" will be back on Thursday, July 8. This summer, the series mix things up with its three-night airing schedule, broadcasting on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursday nights, with all episodes airing at 8 p.m. Julie Chen will, of course, return as host.
As for "The Bridge," which stars "Battlestar Galactica" veteran Aaron Douglas, it will begin its run on Saturday nights at 8 p.m. starting on July 10.
Want more original programming this summer? Well, starting on Saturday, June 5, CBS will be burning off remaining episodes of the already cancelled "Three Rivers," whetting audience appetites for star Alex O'Loughlin's latest primetime venture, "Hawaii 5-0," premiering this fall.
