Clive Owen will face off versus 'Intruders'

After taking a break following publicity or his Julia Roberts thriller "Duplicity," Clive Owen has finally booked his next film and yes, it's yet another thriller.

Universal Pictures International announced this week that Owen is joining European star Daniel Bruhl ("Goodbye Lenin!," "Inglourious Basterds") in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's "Intruders."  The film's plot is being kept as quiet as possible, but it's known that Owen will play the father of an 11-year-old girl forced to confront childhood demons.

Fresnadillo is best known to American audiences for his well received sequel to Danny Boyle's "28 Days Later, appropriately titled "28 Weeks Later."

Production on "Intruders" should begin this June in London and Madrid.
