'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' creator worried about fan backlash
The debut of the "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" trailer may have come close to crashing Apple and increased sales of Bryan O'Malley's cult comic series, but the creator is increasingly nervous about hardcore fans obsessive nature concerning the August release.
O'Malley told Variety, "I'm trying to manage fan expectations, but to no avail. It's totally out of my control."
Moreover, director Edgar Wright told I09 that fans "were genuinely angry that we held back the trailer until now."
Fans only have a little over four months to wait until "Scott Pilgrim" saves Michael Cera's movie career on August 13. In the meantime, maybe the similarly alternative "Kick-Ass" will quench their thirst next week? Stay tuned.
