Rumors continue to fly surrounding 'Breaking Dawn'

Every diligent in tapping all possible scenarios around the popular "Twilight Saga" franchise, a number of media outlets made unsubstantiated reports about the potential fourth and fifth installments of the series, "Breaking Dawn" this week.

Deadline.com created a significant amount of buzz reporting the old news that Summit Entertainment was considering breaking Stephanie Meyer's fourth novel into two films. The report also noted the studio would be looking for "high end" directors (really? like they hadn't tried and accomplished that before with Chris Weitz and David Slade?). This prompted Summit Entertainment to issue the following statement:

“No decision has been made and as we have said all along we are continuing to work with Stephenie Meyer to bring Breaking Dawn to the big screen.”

In othr rumblings, the legal blog of the Hollywood Reporter confirmed that neither Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner are under contract for a fifth film. Yes, they have to return if there is just one installment of "Breaking Dawn," but two? A significant salary increase may be in order.

Additionally, the Reporter speculated that the fourth and fifth action packed "Dawns" could be shot in the box office inflating 3-D. Some fans are dead set against the idea, but its likely Meyers will be the deciding factor when it comes down to making the final decision.

As ever, best to wait for official word on anything regarding "Breaking Dawn" before treating it as gospel.

The third installment of the series, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," opens nationwide in old-fashioned 2-D on June 30.
