Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale confirmed for 'Total Recall' remake
Len Weisman's "Total Recall" remake is expected to begin shooting next month in Toronto and the "Underworld" filmmaker has recruited some familiar faces for two leading roles. Colin Farrell is already on board for our hero (originally played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1990 version), Bryan Cranston is the bad guy and Ethan Hawke has a significant cameo. Now, rumors about Jessica Biel and Wiseman's wife, Kate Beckinsale, playing the female lades have been confirmed (Rachel Ticotin and Sharon Stone were on board the first time).
Also, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmakers have recruited Bill Nighy to play Quatto, the leader of the resistance. In the original, Quatto was a small symbiote living off the body of another human. That isn't expected to be the case this time around.
Additionally, the first flick's Martian setting will be discarded and the story will instead take place on Earth in the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai (whatever that means).
