Rumors of a 'Beavis and Butt-head' return heat up
We've now had two weeks of escalating rumors regarding MTV bringing back "Beavis and Butt-head" for their first new episodes in 13 years.
The reports first broke on REVIEWniverse, which only cited "an anonymous source" as saying that Mike Judge is in the process of outlining 30 new episodes for MTV. That report, though, was full of some much speculation and butt-covering that we didn't run anything on it.
This week, the NY Post got a step closer to credibility, saying that "sources at MTV" confirmed that new episodes of the metal loving teens were in the work. The network and Judge would provide no official confirmation, though.
MTV cancelled "Beavis & Butt-head," which also spawned a 1996 hit film and the long-running spinoff "Daria," in 1997.
Stay tuned in case any of this information actually become official.
