Johnny Depp's 'Dark Shadows' finds a writer
Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's long-gestating big screen version of "Dark Shadows" had landed a screenwriter.
According to Variety, Seth Grahame-Smith will take a stab at addapting the beloved ABC vampire soap opera, which aired from 1966 to 1971.
Grahame-Smith is best known for his tome "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." He also wrote the novel "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," which he's adapting for the big screen.
There's no production timetable for "Dark Shadows," which first attached Depp and Burton back in 2007. The trade notes that "Dark Shadows" was one of 20 Warner Brothers films named as part of a deal with IMAX inked back in April, a deal that runs through 2013.
